Write Night

7:00 pm to 8:30 pm

Write Night Writers

Our monthly sessions are free and generally run from Sept to May. No experience necessary. Everyone 15 and older is welcome. Just bring a notebook, a favorite pen and your sense of playful curiosity.

Write Nights are informal and relaxed gatherings to come and play with words. We do a series of short, timed writing exercises that get our creative juices flowing. We occasionally pause to read out loud, always optional. Discussions and resources ideas are shared as well.

Vous êtes également invité à écrire dans la langue de votre choix.

We are currently experimenting with holding two sessions a month:

In person: the SECOND Tuesday of the month from 7 – 8:30 PM in our lovely library, housed here in Centre Wakefield-La Pêche.

Online: the LAST Tuesday of the month from 7 – 8:30 PM (ET) via Zoom.

Write Night Materials

Contact Linda to be put on the Write Night email list to receive the Zoom link and any related communication.

Do you have a favourite prompt or exercise to share?  Let Linda know if you would like to join our small pool of Write Night facilitators.

Keep your eye open for pop up writing workshops and talks too. Typically these are held on a weekend. There is a fee to help pay the instructor, rental and advertising expenses.

Many thanks to the support we receive from this treasure we call the Wakefield-La Pêche Library.

Looking forward to writing with you!
